On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April, the national Weekend of Defence Heritage will take place. During this weekend, there is plenty to do and experience at the many locations of Dutch defence heritage; from forts and bunkers to fortifications and lines.
The Kunstfort is also participating and on both days there is a free programme with exhibitions, various performances, historical tours, music, a real climbing rock and on Saturday there is also the festive opening of the exhibition ‘The hero, the villain, and the truth’ by Folkert de Jong. Of course, Brasserie Fort5 on the fort island will be open for (local) food and drinks.
The outdoor area on the Kunstfort will be open on both days from 10:00 – 17:00h. The ongoing programme will take place on both days between 13:00 and 17:00h. Click here for the opening hours of Brasserie Fort5.
