In 2024, we exhibited sculptures by artist Folkert de Jong in the Genieloods, made from non-degradable styrofoam and polyurethane. We then challenged Folkert to consider working with natural materials in our local context.

This spring, Folkert will begin his three-month artistic research on the fort island.

What messages might natural materials be holding for us? This question forms the starting point of his research, Oracles.
