From Fri 13 until Sun 15 September the Kunstfort presents an impressive work by Lieve Rutte at cultural festival ‘Grazende Zwaan’ in Nieuw-Vennep in Haarlemmermeer. During this festival the public can enjoy Lieve Rutte’s wonderful sculpture I’am good I’m
gone, which manifests itself as a colourful landmark in the polder landscape. The playfully constructed sculpture defies gravity as a futuristic menhir or totem, in connection with the festival theme of air. In Rutte’s artistic practice, astonishment is a recurring theme. With her
sculptures she creates an imaginative, sensual world where childlike innocence takes shape in sculptural tangibility. Lieve Rutte graduated from the HKU in 2017. She participated in the open-air exhibition Sculptures in Leiden (2019), the international art fair OBJECT in Rotterdam (2019) and the group exhibition Best of Graduates at gallery Ron Mandos (2017).
