On Tuesday the 28th, Rachel de Joode and the French artistic duo Itsourplayground (Camille Le Houezec and Joey Villemont) will come together to discuss the topic of sculptural photography. Starting point is our current fall exhibition Flat Nature / Surface Bodies by Rachel de Joode.

We start the evening with a presentation by Rachel de Joode, followed by a conversation between the artists and our artistic director Zippora Elders surrounding this theme.

The programme starts at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7 pm), followed by drinks until about 9.30 pm. Free entrance, sign up by sending an email to: info@kunstfort.nl.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Rachel de Joode (NL, 1979 – lives in Berlin) was one of the first to com­bine sculp­tural ob­jects and pho­to­graphic prints with ref­er­ence to in­ternet aes­thetics. The artist is known for her “sculp­tural pho­tog­raphy”, for which she prints and cuts pic­tures of nat­ural ma­te­rials in or­ganic forms. The Paris-based artistic duo Itsourplayground (Camille Le Houezec and Joey Villemont) was formed in 2009. Their projects may take the form of sculptures, exhibitions or installations, using curation itself as a medium.
