Return to overview

Three ‘men’ are made with the wood of cut down trees from Haarlemmermeer. They appear to be heavy and impressive, but their stifness makes them helpless as well. This is enforced by the fact that they are slowly decaying and eventually will return to nature. The wood is exposed to erosion and rot. It reminds of a battlefield with fallen soldiers. Although there had actually never been a fight at Fort bij Vijfhuizen.
