The outdoor space of the fort is free to access daily. Starting Saturday, May 13, the Kunstfort will be open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00. During the Pentecost weekend, Sunday, May 28, and Monday, May 29, the Kunstfort will also be open. On Sunday, May 28 Dariya Trubina, participating student of ‘Kunstfort x TXT – Cross Stitch’ offers boat trips on the waters of the Kunstfort at 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00. Reserve a timeslot via info@kunstfort.nl, one person per timeslot.

The following activities are planned for the upcoming period:

  • Since March 21, in collaboration with several libraries and archives, we are creating a gradually growing thematic space for research and inspiration. Anyone who wishes to can delve into fluidity in various forms over the next three months.
  • As of spring 2023, Va­lerie van Leersum is res­i­dent at Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen for artistic re­search: Bin­nenaards (In­nerearthly): How can we (re)con­nect with the soil? Read more about the residency and Valerie here.
  • From Saturday, May 13 up to (Pentecost) Monday, May 29, works of the students from the TXT department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam are on view at the Kunstfort. Read about the collaboration here. On Sunday, May 28 Dariya Trubina offers boat trips on the waters of the Kunstfort at 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00.   • On Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 the Kunstfort participates in Ontdekt Veelzijdig Haarlemmermeer. The Kunstfort can be visited free of charge and historical tours are offered for a reduced fee – both days at 13:30h and 15:00h. Make a reservation to join one of the tours via info@kunstfort.nl.
