Press release: Opening at the Kunstfort on 5 and 19 September, new exhibitions on football, politics, media, and transformation

On 5 September, the final day of the first solo exhibition in the Netherlands by the celebrated artist Katja Novitskova will be combined with the opening of the group exhibition Politics at Play, Play at Politics, about sports and politics, including work by Hiwa K, Amina Menia, Claudia Rankine & John Lucas, Yara Said, and more, curated by Kunstfort’s director-curator Zippora Elders and guest curator Vincent van Velsen. On 19 September, an immersive solo exhibition on media and war by Miloš Trakilović opens. In addition, public programs are planned with Melanie Bonajo, Gijsje Heemskerk, Kokou Ferdinand Makouvia, and others, plus a multiday performance by the international artist MPA in collaboration with If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution and Gessnerallee Zürich.
