Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen congratulates Zippora Elders on her new position as Head of Curatorial Department & Outreach at the renowned art institution Gropius Bau in Berlin. She will succeed Chief Curator Julienne Lorz.

Zippora took up the role of artistic director at the Kunstfort in July 2016, and she has also acted as general director since 2018. She raised the local and international visibility of the institution and its associated heritage, ecology, and visual arts through themes such as “science fiction” and “enchantment, healing, and fertility” and initiated various regional, national, and international collaborations. During her curatorship, the Kunstfort made solo exhibitions by Erik Andriesse, Catherine Biocca, Esteban Cabeza de Baca, Botond Keresztesi, Katja Novitskova, Sophie Lee, Jan Robert Leegte, Ann Lislegaard, Kokou Ferdinand Makouvia, Charlott Weise, and many others, as well as thematic presentations, interventions, and public programs with Bogomir Doringer, Roderick Hietbrink, Susanne Kriemann, Mire Lee, Serge Onnen, Kevin Osepa, The Rodina, Telcosystems, Puck Verkade, Coralie Vogelaar, Dan Walwin, Joeri Woudstra, and Müge Yilmaz. The house style was revamped in 2017 by Dan Solbach.
