From Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 September the annual Fortenfestival takes place and the many forts of the Netherlands open their gates to the public with all kinds of events and exhibitions. On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September thousands of monuments throughout the country open their doors to the public for free during the Open Monuments Day. The Kunstfort also participates and on both days admission is free and a free historical tour can be attended at 14:00h.  The number of participants is limited. Gather in front of the entrance of the fort.
