“Stillness and observation, whether of a subject matter or of an own feeling, seem to have become a privilege of frantically fast moving lifestyles. The quality of contemplations is limited to the time spent with self.” – Olya Oleinic –
Oleinic is a visual artist from Republic of Moldova, living and working in Amsterdam. With practice mainly based in photography her work is characterised by the global ground it attempts to cover, a search for definitions of cultural normalities and with it, oddities. Driven by own affiliation to being a third culture child, her intention is trying to assemble a bigger picture of the world.
