From slow rush to kids creating a cheerful mayhem, what behavior and language can become our post Covid-19 reality?
—Lonneke van der Palen, Kunstenaar / Artist (Kunstfort in 2018)
Lonneke van der Palen (1985, NL) is a photographer who lives and works in Amsterdam. Over the years she has worked for numerous fashion- and design brands (such as Maison Margiela and Hermès), magazines and creative agencies. In 2019 she got nominated for the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs and exhibited her work in Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.
Driven by everyday scenes, gestures, objects and people, she responds to the existing space in which she photographs. The act results in a carefully placed composition in which shape, color and light relate to each other in a well-considered way. This leads to a sometimes visible, sometimes invisible shift of everyday life.
