Alexander Höglund
Terminal Green
Return to overview

Alexander Höglund (Sweden, 1984) is a Swedish artist who works in a variety of media from virtual experience and sculptures to curating and public interventions. Höglund has studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Stockholm Filmschool in Stockholm and Lund University.
His video Terminal Green is a journey through a 9 space-virtual-fantasy-world. A guided tour to a mental landscape. In the terminal we encounter creatures discovered in introspection, like the holy figure of the NGs, Blue boy and “the girl with the pink hair”, characters seemingly inhabiting the terminal world without caring about our presence. The work wants to escape this world and by doing so tells something about our own preconditions, to let us reflect, find pleasure and company.

Music composition by Anton Ingvarsson, words and voice by Alexandra Karpilovski and technical assistance by Sven Lind.
